Königsleiten is the high mountain village of Wald-Königsleiten, on the Salzburg side of Zillertal Arena. Here, access lifts sit among accommodation and mountain slopes. Wald im Pinzgau lies down in the valley and is a different place to stay.

From Königsleiten, take the Dorfbahn or Sonnwendkopfbahn into the local mountain sector. This sector links the Gerlos side to Hochkrimml. You can spend a day locally or plan a longer trip, returning to Königsleiten.

Between two neighbouring sectors

Königsleiten connects to Gerlos and Hochkrimml. Choose a route that suits your group's ability and pace, keeping the connection back to your own lift base in mind.

Panoramic walk above the Dorfbahn

A short winter panorama route starts near the Dorfbahn mountain station. Enjoy the mountain scenery without a long ski tour. Check the pedestrian ticket and current access.

A winter day in Wald

Down in Wald, there are other walking options, including the Walder Krippenweg. Staying in the valley gives you a different setting; you first travel uphill to reach the Königsleiten pistes.
