Brixen im Thale lies in the middle of the Brixental, the valley named after the village. The centre surrounds the main village street and church; the gondolas depart further along, on opposite sides of the valley.
The Hochbrixenbahn takes you to Hochbrixen, with connections towards the Hohe Salve and Scheffau. The SkiWeltbahn heads the other way, towards the Choralpe and Westendorf. You can explore different parts of SkiWelt from the same village.

More of the mountains
A viewing platform at the top station overlooks the Brixental and the surrounding mountain ranges. A place to pause between runs.
Alongside downhill skiing, Hochbrixen has a high-altitude cross-country trail. Take the gondola to the start for a different way to explore the mountain landscape in winter.
Practice lifts at Hochbrixen allow lessons higher up in the ski area. Beginners have a dedicated place to practise without immediately tackling a valley run.
Getting there
Brixen has its own railway station. The local ski bus connects accommodation and gondola stations. Check whether you need the Hochbrixenbahn or the SkiWeltbahn before setting off; they take you to different sides of the valley.
