Going lies on the eastern side of SkiWelt, at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser. The Astberg is the local mountain for winter sports. From the village, the Wilder Kaiser rises on one side while the Astberg pistes climb on the other.
The Astbergbahn takes you to a sector with red and blue run options. Smaller practice lifts are at village level, with the Sonnenlift higher up. The Astberg toboggan run also offers an afternoon or evening without skis.

More of the mountains
The Astberg has a valley run with red and blue options. Changes in gradient give this side a different character from a short practice piste.
A toboggan run descends from the Astberg towards the valley. It branches towards Going and Ellmau, and evening tobogganing is also offered; choose your endpoint in advance.
There are winter walks in the valley and on the mountain. Head towards Hollenauer Kreuz to discover a different side of Going from the one you see on the pistes.
Getting there
Use the ski bus for stops around Going and the lift base. To arrive by train, travel to a nearby station such as St. Johann, then take a bus or transfer to the village.
