More of the mountains
From this summit, you can look across the valleys and towards the Wilder Kaiser. The Salvistabahn also makes the summit accessible for an outing without skis.
The run towards Itter passes partly through woodland and has changes in terrain. A blue piste connects the Kleine Salve to the middle station; it is a different option from the full valley run.
There is a cross-country trail near the village centre. It offers a quieter winter day in the village, at a different pace from lifts and downhill runs.
Getting there
Itter's village centre and the Salvistabahn are in different locations. Use the local ski bus or plan transport to the valley station. From Hopfgarten or Wörgl, you can combine a train journey with an onward bus connection.
